HEARD, READ AND READ AGAIN
Be wary of perfection, especially when it comes about farming
since beauty is decided by nature and not by chemicals.
Tomatoes that you can show at the Louvre in winter, red peppers
worthy of De Chirico, perfect not by nature but because
of harmful and highly polluting products. So far so good.
The real concern is that somehow people is starting to think that everything BIO should be also perfect-looking. So far not good.
The ones to blame are probably people like us, failing
to communicate all the efforts we pay to guarantee a healthy grape for the whole year until the harvest.
We avoid talking about that because one might be afraid that the market finds you obnoxious or boring, but now we need to tell the truth.
The famous patchwork rains, when it rains at my place but not at my neighbour’s one or the shrooms ruining both the plants
of the absent and the one who litterally lives in the vineyard.
We produced the new wines, just some of the unfortunately, because this was a very complicated harvest. We produced them with maximum attention, after a selection of the grapes and a pied de cuve to start the fermentation. We fixed the fermenting temperature
according to the must needs just to express ourselves at our best.
We don’t make any difference between the high-end bottles
(that will not be produced this year) and the lower ranges, we put the same effort and attention in everything we do. The bottles show our names and they represents us.
Happy drinking and happy 2019!
