The Azienda Agricola Spadafora is a farm established by don
Pietro, Prince of Spadafora, who had inherited the estate
from his uncle Michele De Stefani, a capable farmer and racehorse
breeder.

large estates and held titles of rank. The estate was seriously
damaged by the earthquake of 1968, but don Pietro engaged
in the work of reconstruction and restructuring, revaluing
local vine species and introducing new varieties for the production
of quality wines.
The present owner is Francesco Spadafora, son of don Pietro,
who attends to grape-growing in his vineyards extending over
about 100 hectares.
