	Concours Mondial de Bruxelles The Schietto Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded at the prestigious international contest with a Silver Medal.
	Chardonnay du Monde 2010 ear Friends, with great emotion I inform you that our “CHARDONNAY SCHIETTO”, vintage 2008 has been awarded with the prestigious “GOLD MEDAL” at the International Competition “Chardonnay Du Monde”, where the best Chardonnays from the whole world were tasted and compared ( see attachment). This kind of recognitions gives us more and more the confirmation that we are on the right track and that the search for a higher quality-level of our products is giving us, and we hope, will give us even more in the next years, excellent results. Looking forward to meeting you soon in the approaching events Prowein and Vinitaly, where, among others, it will be possible to taste the awarded CHARDONNAY SCHIETTO 2008, I inform you that the stock-availability of this product is now limited; therefore I would suggest anyone of you, who wish to get some cases, to send us a reservation as soon as possible. 	Wine For Life We proudly announce our participation at "Wine for Life" project - www.wineforlife.com It is a project founded by the Sant'Egidio community that commit the quality wine production to help a big country like Africa where about 25 million people have AIDS and no money for medicine. Where 14 million baby are already orphan. This project is witnessed with a round sticker on the bottle that cost us 50 euro cents: 100 stickers help a mother with aids to have a baby without this disease. 1000 stickers make an adult with aids to live and cure and suppert the family. So everytime you purchase a bottle with that sticker you already know that part of that money you've just spent help directly the People of Africa.
	Merano International Wine Festival During the Merano Wine festival, I have had the pleasure to organize along with our rep. Mr. Gunther Holzl, a blind wine tasting of 10 different Syrah, to which participated: Kiem Othmar ( journalist of Falstaff, one of the most important wine magazine in Austria) Taschler Herbert ( free lance journalist, his article has been published among the others on Gambero Rosso and I Sommelier) Innerhofer Klaus ( journalist of ZETT, Alto Adige) Stefan Waldner ( wine connoisseur ) Rottensteiner Hubert ( wine distributor, Vinum Bolzano) Hölzl Günther (wine distributor, Meraner Weinhaus) Fenoglio Andrea ( Restaurant Sissi -Merano) Zozin Helmut ( enologist from Cantina di Caldaro) Andreas ( Sommelier, Hotel Erika - Tirolo) Federico Curtaz (Agronomist) Renato Orlando (Restaurant Le Due Sorelle - Messina) Giovanni Manetti (Wine maker) The spirit of this tasting was to comparate the different Syrah grown in different parts of our world, confronting also our different cultures and satisfying our personal curiosity. For instance we have chosen Cote Rotie La Mouline Guigal 2003, 100/100 on Parker wine guide, to represent France; or Grange Penfolds 2002 from Australia; or Fontodi Case Vie 2003 (in my opinion the best Italian Syrah) and of course our Sole Dei Padri 2003/2004. So on Sunday afternoon at 4.30 pm 12 wine enthusiasts and 10 amazing syrah have met. Here you’ll find the results. They don’t want to express a judgment on the quality of wines, but rather a justification to our mouth! Also because it seems this time that “marketing” has been defeated by the bottle content. The bottle were covered with aluminium folds and I had the cruel work to unfold them after tasting. We start from the 10th to the 1st, the one we liked more. When I unfolded the 9th bottle and discovered it was Sole dei Padri 2004 I was “hurt” . Proceeding with the other wines I realized that tasting Sole dei 2004 along with other wines more ready , made the difference: in my opinion 2004 will be more interesting than 2003. 	Schietto Grillo 2006 Our first vintage of Schietto Grillo has reached the final selection to be listed in the 2008 edition of "Vini Buoni d'Italia"
	Also in Les Cittadelles du Vin is distinguished a Sicilian wine It continues the international series of success for the Sicilian wines, that distinguish themselves also in the edition 2007 of the prestigious competition Les Cittadelles du Vin of Bordeaux. The Sole dei Padri Syrah 2004, IGT Sicily produced by Spadafora Winery of Palermo, received, besides the Trophée Citadelles (the most important recognition of the Competition), the Special Prize Italy, like wine with the highest score between all of the participants of its country.
	Vinexpo Bordeaux 2007 What a joy, what a spontaneous joy I felt…look at my happy face in the picture! When I’ve known about this award, I didn’t understand the importance of this award: I submit my wines to many international wine contest, we’ve been granted with many internationals awards, but to be recognized as Best Italian Wine at Les Cittadelles du Vin of Bordeaux, has its own special fashion; many people gather around me to make me compliments and I was asking around what prize I’ve gotten and then, once I was on the stage, I finally understand something more: I won and I was representing a Nation and that’s why I’ve got this award. Likely the bikers when they ride up - and everybody make fool of them, they arrive exhausted at the finish line, I was touched. This is not new for me, since emotions are a fundamental part of my daily life. A sincere hug to everyone that will read this letter.

	Wine Enthusiast - July 2006 90.DON PIETRO ROSSO 2004. An intense blend of Nero d'Avola, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that beautifully underlines the producer's individualistic winemaking philosophy. There are earthy, iron-like tones with blackberry, spice and cracked white pepper. The Cabernet portion renders a tight, tannic backbone.
	Wine Enthusiast - July 2006 93. SOLE DEI PADRI 2002.If one man is to be named producer of Sicily's best Syrah, that honor must go to Francesco Spadafora. This monumental wine is a thick, inky-black bruiser that delivers a big rush of flavor: thick ripe cherry, tobacco, leather, smoked ham, cracked black pepper, charcoal, cedar wood and the list goes on. Intense, delightful and complex, the tannins are soft as silk and the flavors, multilayered.

SCHIETTO SYRAH 2002.Another block-buster Sicilian Syrah from Spadafora that appears splendidly concentrated and inky with deep and penetrating toasted notes and aromas of prune, leather, pipe tobacco and granite. The wine sees 12 months of barrique aging which gives it a silky, tight texture.
	Wine Enthusiast - July 2006 88. MONREALE SYRAH 2004. A well-executed Syrah with a small component of Nero d'Avola that exhibits deep ruby youthfulness with notes of cherry, prune, resin, chocolate fudge and loads of blueberry and blackberry. Its mouthfeel is thick and luscious with dusty tannins, but at the end of the day this is a young, easy wine.

	ALMANACCO DEL BEREBENE 2006 Our Azienda was awarded with the OSCAR quality-price of the ALMANACCO DEL BEREBENE with the wine MONREALE SYRAH 2004. We wait for you on Sunday the 20th of November from 15,00 to 19,00 to taste this wine selected by Gambero Rosso as a quality wine within € 8,00, excellent to drink also every day and presenting a good quality-price ratio.
