When we were thinking about the label for the 'Schietto', it was a glorious day. Opening the window and looking outside, we realized that Virzì was the label: the hills which surround but never stifle the houses, the pattern of colours and that absolutely special setting.
… and then, through the vineyards, I reach the houses. I stop and stare at the palm trees, at the murals and the fountain. I look in wonder at the cypress trees and I envy them because they have enjoyed all this so long before me.
This is what staying at Virzì means.
Early one morning, I asked one of the old men, "What was it like before?"
"… it's always been like this, but it's only when you live here that you can appreciate it; only when you wake up here in the morning that you can feel the energy which has made this place so magical".
