Natural Reserve "Zingaro"

Surrounded on three sides by rocks, sheer above the sea, the valley of the "Zingaro" is a natural reserve accessible by few passages and only by man or mule. This latency from the world, has contributed to maintaining this edge of the world - defined by the Naturalists "the most beautiful and solitary of Sicily"- untouched over the years .
None of the natural reserves of our country is so connected to the sea as the "Zingaro". Here the sea is not only the geographical border, but the constant background of the natural landscape and indispensable element of the naturalistic aspects.
"Tonnarella dell'Uzzo", "Torre dell'Uzzo", "Cala Marinella", "Cala Beretta", "Cala della Disa", "Cala del Varo" (reachable only by boats without engines) and "Cala della Capreria" are but some of the many dovetails and seashores where it is possible to stop and have a nice and relaxing swim. They normally are small white dovetails with pebbles and gravels.
