San Vito Lo Capo
San Vito is famous for the crystalline water of the Mediterranean
Sea, almost 3 km of fine gold sand beach. Only one road takes
to San Vito and offers a panoramic view of the town as well
of the bay, where the colour of the sea from light blue becomes
deep blue. The shape of the bay permits to have a perfect
environment for beginner swimmers and for family with children
since is bay protected from sea storm.
Both to the east and west sides of S. Vito it is possible
to visit other beautiful places for people that prefers rocks
to sand, offering deep water and uncontaminated sea bottom
with coralline formations and colourful vegetation.
The promenade is at few meters from the beach and goes along
for one km. to the lighthouse. The lighthouse of SanVito is
40 meters tall and his light ray is visible from 20 miles
at sea.
A panoramic road offers the view of the entire town and of
its bay.
